[SMM Review] an annual output of 680000 tons! Guangdong Yongjin Cold Rolling Phase I is expected to be put into production in January 2020

SMM12, March 13: it is reported that Guangdong Yongjin Metal Technology Co., Ltd. has an annual output of 680000 tons of wide precision stainless steel strip project using the most advanced non-nitric acid pickling process in the world, avoiding the emission of nitrogen oxides and nitrate, and can realize clean production to the maximum extent. At present, the first phase of the project is in the process of equipment installation and is expected to be put into production next month.

In the production workshop of the first phase of the project, we can see that the production units have been basically arranged, a complete production line has been formed, and the on-site staff are welding the external smoke cover for the cold rolling mill to complete the rest of the equipment installation work. According to Wang Bingchuang, minister of production, the first phase of the project has an annual production capacity of 280000 tons. At present, civil construction and steel structure construction have been basically completed, and 70% of the main equipment has been installed. It is expected to be put into production in January 2020, and the products are mainly sold to the Pearl River Delta region.

Guangdong Yongjin Metal Technology Co., Ltd., 680000 tons of wide precision stainless steel strip project is divided into two phases of construction, the main production of 300,400 series of high-quality precision stainless steel strip products. The first phase of the project will begin in January 2019, and the second phase of the project is scheduled to start next year. After the full completion of the project, it is estimated that the annual sales will exceed 10 billion yuan and the annual tax revenue will exceed 150 million yuan.

According to SMM, the growth rate of stainless steel steelmaking capacity in China in 2019 is only 2%, while that of cold rolling capacity is 16%. With the continuous commissioning of new cold rolling plants, the pattern of overcapacity in domestic cold rolling has not changed. Yongjin has put into production 280000 tons of stainless steel strip in the first phase, and the hot rolling raw materials come from Guangqing Science and Technology. It is expected that the stainless steel hot rolling raw materials in the later stage are relatively tight, which will support the hot rolling price in the first quarter of next year.
